🚶♂️ Walk the Waterways for Mental Health
Supporting men's mental health via Under the Bridge Project
Sign up and join in with our fundraiser for the Under the Bridge project by taking on an inspiring sponsored walk—raising awareness and vital funds to support men’s mental health in our local community.
The Challenge
Participants can to take part and walk either:
-
24 miles along the full length of both the Cromford Canal and the Erewash Canal, finishing at Trent Lock
-
12 miles starting from Langley Mill, covering the entire Erewash Canal.
These beautiful, historic waterways represent more than a journey—they’re a path to recovery, conversation, and connection.
🌉 Why we are walking
The Under the Bridge project is ran by Bluetonic and Nottingham CAN and is a local men’s mental health group helping to break the stigma and offer real support where it's needed most.
Our Under the Bridge project gives men a safe place to meet, talk, and build resilience through shared experiences and community-led activities such as wild swimming, paddle boarding, walking by the water as well as our choir singing under bridges by the water.
Every step we take helps to:
-
Raise awareness about mental health challenges faced by men
-
Fund crucial support and outreach activities
-
Show that nobody has to walk alone
